UW Medical Center-Northwest- Medical Telemetry has an outstanding opportunity for a Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse.WORK SCHEDULE

• 36 hours per week

• 3x12 shift schedule

• This position works a mix of rotating day shifts and night shifts - additional details will be provided in the interview

• Some weekend shift work will be required

ABOUT OUR MEDICAL TELEMETRY UNIT

• We are a general medical unit with a full cardiac telemetry and rehabilitation program

• We offer 36 beds for patients

• We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

• Our RNs work in close partnership with our physicians and our certified nursing assistants

• We are proud to offer a breadth of training opportunities for our staff, including stroke training and advanced EKG training

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• We welcome new and experienced RNs to join our team - training will be provided to nurses who are transitioning into telemetry care for the first time

• Be part of a close-knit inpatient hospital unit where everyone’s contributions are recognized

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide evidence-based nursing services to an acutely ill patient population, including post-stroke patients

• Monitor heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment

• Identify care needs

• Assess and manage pain

• Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

REQUIREMENTS

• Active BLS

• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45.59 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$83.64 hourly

Other Compensation:

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus (for eligible new employees) BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Night premium - $5.00/hour Weekend premium - $4.00/hour Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
