Full-time, Contract, Temporary Day shift 13 weeks

In-Office | Tuscaloosa, AL, United States

Must live 50 miles outside of Tuscaloosa, AL

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Shift is 5x8 40 hours weekly. Must Circulate.

Holidays as required. Every other weekend.

Plans, coordinates and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients/families. Provides leadership to other team members by articulating and delegating expected standards of care, supervising and encouraging team members, and supporting their contributions. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, US, Ortho Techs and other non-licensed staff.

Education- Required

• Associated degree in nursing

Certifications – Required

• AHA BLS

• AHA ACLS

Or Red Cross

Licenses – Required

• Registered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)

• NURSYS

Experience- Required:

• 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the CVOR setting.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

• Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical skills.

• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions pre- and post-surgery.

• Utilize performance metrics to improve personal and team outcomes.

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.

• Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately.

• Assist in the development of care plans tailored to individual patients.

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times.

• Contribute to team meetings and share best practices.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license with CVOR experience preferred.

• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and training.

• Proven ability to monitor and assess patient conditions effectively.

• Experience in maintaining sterile environments and adhering to safety protocols.

• Strong communication skills for effective patient and family interactions.

• Ability to collaborate with surgical teams for optimal patient outcomes.

• Familiarity with performance metrics to enhance team outcomes.

• Experience with documenting patient care activities accurately.

• Ability to assist in developing tailored care plans for patients.
