Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery, to join a Healthcare Facility (Acute Care / Academic Medical Center) located in Syracuse, NY. This role requires specialized expertise in maternal-child nursing, including circulating for C-sections, and the flexibility to provide care across the continuum of the perinatal units at our premier academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, circulate for cesarean sections.
Monitor fetal heart tones, assist with deliveries.
Provide postpartum care, assess newborns, and administer medications.
Document in EMR, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Current New York State RN license; BLS certification (current or able to recertify).
Experience:

Minimum 1.5 years recent experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level within the past 2 years; circulating for C-sections required; scrubbing experience preferred.
Travelers will only be considered if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.

Technical Skills: EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.
