Administers medications and treatments, develops and updates care plans, and supervises licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. Serves as a clinical resource and ensures care is delivered in accordance with regulatory standards.Education & Experience• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting: PreferredLicenses & Certifications• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: RequiredKey Responsibilities• Assess residents on admission and on an ongoing basis, and develop individualized plans of care.• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.• Supervise, delegate to and provide clinical direction for LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants.• Evaluate resident response to interventions and revise the plan of care as needed.• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support regulatory survey readiness.• Coordinate care with physicians, therapy, families and interdisciplinary team members.
