Job Description
The RN – Neuro Ortho is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with neurological and orthopedic conditions in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, post-operative care expertise, and the ability to monitor and respond to neurological changes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neuro and orthopedic patients in an acute care environment
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor neurological status
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist in post-operative care and patient mobility support
- Identify and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree minimum)
- Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required upon hire
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required upon hire
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification – Required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Neuro Ortho (acute care setting)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with neurological assessments and stroke care
- Strong understanding of orthopedic and post-surgical patient care
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
