Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care UnitJob SummaryProvides specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in a neonatal intensive care setting. Performs continuous assessment and monitoring, manages respiratory and nutritional support, and administers weight-based medications and therapies. Supports families through education and involvement in the infant's plan of care.Education & Experience• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required• Neonatal intensive care nursing experience: RequiredLicenses & Certifications• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: RequiredKey Responsibilities• Assess and continuously monitor premature and critically ill neonates.• Manage respiratory support, including ventilated infants and advanced airway devices.• Administer weight-based medications, IV fluids and parenteral or enteral nutrition.• Recognize and respond to neonatal emergencies and participate in delivery room resuscitation.• Maintain a developmentally appropriate and thermoregulated environment for each infant.• Educate and support families and involve them in the infant's plan of care.
