Job Description
- Assist with directing the overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, family members, and team members to provide quality resident care.
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department, including LPNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure compliance with Mississippi Department of Health regulations, CMS guidelines, and Orchard/ The Arbor standards.
- Play a major role in resident transfers and family communication during process
- Assist in resident care as needed.
- Assist with resident care planning, assessments, and documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with supply order accuracy and managing nursing supplies.
- Provide direct wound care to residents as needed, including assessment, treatment, dressing changes, and documentation.
- Complete MAR verification for accuracy after admission.
- Conduct chart checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of nursing documentation.
- Participate in facility surveys (inspections) and help develop plans of correction if necessary.
