Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Roofing Assistant supports skilled roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems, handling various tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in Installation and Repair: Support roofers in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing materials, including shingles, tiles, and metal roofing systems.
Material Preparation: Prepare and transport materials to the job site, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available for the roofing team.
Site Maintenance: Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring that tools and equipment are organized and safe to use.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Basic Roofing Duties: Perform basic roofing tasks under the supervision of experienced roofers, such as measuring, cutting, and applying roofing materials.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Strong verbal communication skills
Written communication skills
Good attitude
Clean, well-groomed appearance
1-2 years related experience
