Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee roofing and building envelope consulting projects in Hayden, Idaho. This full-time onsite role focuses on roof evaluations, condition assessments, capital planning, repair specifications, and construction oversight for commercial and institutional properties.
The ideal candidate has experience in roofing systems, waterproofing, or building envelope construction and is comfortable managing projects from initial inspection through contractor coordination and final completion. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with property owners, facility managers, and contractors while delivering technically sound, high-quality consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage roofing and building envelope projects from initial assessment through project closeout
- Conduct roof inspections, condition surveys, and moisture investigations
- Prepare detailed reports, repair specifications, and bid documents
- Assist clients with capital expenditure planning and long-term roof asset management
- Coordinate with contractors during bidding and construction phases
- Perform site visits to monitor installation quality and ensure specification compliance
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and contractor documentation
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in roofing systems, waterproofing, building envelope consulting, or commercial construction
- Strong understanding of roof assemblies (TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, metal, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience managing projects and coordinating contractors
- Strong report-writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related documentation tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for site visits
- Ability to work full time onsite in Hayden, Idaho
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in roof consulting, forensic investigation, or facility asset management
- Experience with moisture scanning or infrared roof analysis
- Construction management or engineering education
- Industry certifications (RRO, RRC, CDT, or similar)
Work Environment
- Full-time onsite role based in Hayden, Idaho
- Combination of office-based documentation and field inspections
- Travel to regional project sites as needed
