This is a permanent position in the construction industry that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of commercial roofing projects. This role is integral to our business operations and requires a professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a deep understanding of commercial roofing construction. Responsibilities:

• Accurately estimating the cost of labor, materials, and time required for a variety of commercial roofing projects.
• Conducting site visits and inspections to gather essential data for estimates.
• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Preparing and submitting detailed bid proposals to clients.
• Negotiating contracts and cost adjustments with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborating with project managers, clients, and other construction professionals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
• Conducting risk management assessments to identify potential operational or financial risks associated with the project.
• Maintaining and updating a database of historical cost data for use in future estimates.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest materials, methods, and industry trends to ensure the most cost-effective solutions are proposed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on estimating.
• Proficiency in Take Off or equivalent estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roof construction, including materials, methods, tools, and technology.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
