Location: Escondido, CA. Travel required to residential and commercial project sites throughout Southern California.

Option One Solar and Chaparosa Roofing are growing teams serving residential and commercial customers across Southern California. With deep experience in solar, electrical, roofing, and project execution, we focus on quality work, clear communication, and smooth project delivery. We are looking for a detail-oriented Site Surveyor who can gather accurate field information and help set each project up for success.

The Roofing Site Surveyor will visit project sites, review conditions, gather measurements, document key details, and help bridge the gap between sales and construction. This role is especially important on the roofing side of the business, where accurate site information and plan review help prevent delays and surprises. The ideal candidate may come from a home inspection, roofing, solar, construction, or field survey background and should be comfortable reading plans and working with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit residential and commercial project sites to complete site surveys
• Gather accurate measurements, photos, notes, and project information
• Review plans and compare them with actual site conditions
• Identify access issues, structural concerns, roof details, and project-specific requirements
• Communicate findings clearly with sales, project management, and construction teams
• Enter and maintain survey information in company systems
• Use JobNimbus and/or other CRM or project management tools as needed
• Help ensure each project moves smoothly from sale to construction

Qualifications

• Home inspection, roofing, solar, construction, or site survey experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand plans required
• Comfortable visiting job sites and documenting field conditions accurately
• Experience with JobNimbus, CRM systems, or project management tools is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple site visits and priorities
• Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and internal teams
• Valid driver's license required. A company vehicle may be provided depending on role requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check upon a conditional job offer in accordance with local law

Compensation

• Full-time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $26-$30 per hour, depending on experience
• In-person field role with steady project involvement
• Training available on company systems, including JobNimbus
• Opportunity to grow with a family-operated solar and roofing company
• Work closely with sales, project management, and construction teams
• Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional schedule adjustments based on project needs.
