Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and designated public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction. This position plays a key role in delivering a welcoming experience aligned with Candlewood Suites' extended-stay brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including beds, bathrooms, kitchens/kitchenettes, and living areas

• Replace linens, towels, amenities, and supplies as required

• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all room surfaces

• Ensure rooms are properly staged and guest-ready according to brand standards

Quality & Standards

• Follow Candlewood Suites and IHG brand cleanliness standards at all times

• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly

• Adhere to hotel procedures for lost & found items

• Maintain productivity standards and room quotas

Guest Service

• Greet guests courteously when encountered and respond professionally to requests

• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times

• Report guest concerns or special requests to the Housekeeping Manager or Front Desk

Safety & Compliance

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly

• Follow OSHA and hotel safety guidelines

• Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping cart and storage areas

• Comply with hotel policies, attendance standards, and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required (training provided)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs

• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping, especially extended-stay properties

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Familiarity with hotel cleaning standards and productivity expectations

Work Environment

• Indoor hotel environment

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and laundry areas

• Physically active role requiring continuous movement throughout the shift
