Job Description

ROOM ATTENDANT

Housekeeping is one of the most important jobs for maintaining our hotel in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition for our guests. The Embassy Suites in Rockford, IL is looking for full time Room Attendants who are committed to providing first class services as part of a collaborative team.

As a Room Attendant on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:

Clean guest rooms per hotel's established procedures. This will consist of cleaning bathrooms, stripping and making beds, dusting, vacuuming and mopping floors, and emptying trash cans.
Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms and other identified areas.
Visually inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion of room.
Retrieve your cleaning cart, keep cart stocked and move around to assigned locations.
When needed, work in laundry room by sorting, cleaning and folding assorted linens.

The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:

Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
Dependability and regular attendance.
Ability to interact with guests and co-workers in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner.
Ability to lift or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work weekends.
