Job Summary:

This position delivers ice to customers in straight trucks that meet the weight requirement of a Class B CDL license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated are subject to change depending on business needs.

Education & Experience Required:

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have a current/valid driver’s license.
Must maintain a medical certificate
Must pass drug screening
Must possess a driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standards
Previous experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to which you will be assigned to operate during the time of employment with the company is required

Education & Experience Preferred:

Previous route delivery driver experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to drive in stressful environments. Must follow all DOT compliance rules and regulations. The driver will be required to use a forklift and pallet jack. The driver must load, unload, and rotate products in merchandisers/ice boxes. Will be required to clean, maintain, and relocate ice merchandisers. The driver should be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day. The driver is required to work in all weather conditions. Weekend and holiday hours during peak season is a requirement for the position. Driver must visit established accounts, including gas stations, grocery stores, and other customers, while frequently driving between customers and the plant location. Upon arriving at the customer location, drivers are responsible for delivering the product, invoicing, collecting payment, obtaining proof of delivery, and basic customer service. Overtime will be required during the busy summer season. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
