Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Route Planner.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
As a Route Planner you will:
- Plan and organize daily delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse staff to ensure orders are routed, staged, and loaded correctly.
- Review daily order volume and adjust routes as needed to support operational needs and customer service expectations.
- Monitor delivery progress throughout the day and communicate updates or route changes to drivers and leadership when necessary.
- Assist in resolving delivery issues such as missing product, route adjustments, or customer delivery concerns.
- Maintain accurate routing and shipment information within company systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse team members to support a smooth daily delivery operation.
- Identify opportunities to improve route efficiency and overall delivery performance.
- Support the transportation and warehouse teams with additional operational coordination as needed
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn transportation or routing systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to problem solve and make adjustments to routes or schedules when operational needs change.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail when reviewing orders, routes, and delivery schedules.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation planning is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the local delivery area and geography is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- This role is primarily office and coordination based, however occasional time may be spent in the warehouse environment to communicate with drivers or review staged loads
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs if assisting with operational needs.

- Pay Range:
- $15.00 - $20.59
- Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
- This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
- Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
