(MLS) is a comprehensive foreign language services firm that provides full-spectrum linguistic, analytical, and operational support of U.S. Government and private sector customers. MLS provides services in over 100 languages and resources in more than 60 countries. MLS mobilizes the linguistic, technical, and management personnel to meet critical communications and operational objectives. Based in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area, MLS is accessible 24/7 to respond to short-fused, ongoing, and surge requirements worldwide.

We are actively hiring a Russian Linguist to work with a diverse team focusing on materials of a scientific nature. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel in a diverse, evolving, high-profile environment.

Requirements

In this role, linguists will use native or near-native reading and writing skills and cultural expertise.
Linguists will be involved in the review of vernacular reporting and broadcasts for translation and transcription into English.
As needed, linguists may be asked to travel for short-term TDYs to domestic and foreign locations, including warzones.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Bachelor's degree desired
Interpretation between source and target languages
Translation into English and target language
Transcription into English and target language
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
Terminology Management
