Job Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible for the administration of all health and safety policies and procedures. This role provides guidance and advice to the Safety Coordinators regarding OSHA compliance and all policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assist in the administration of all NAS safety policies and procedures. Ensure policies and procedures are accurate and always kept current.Ensure all employees are trained on policies and procedures by developing trainings to share with the plant. Assist in the development and administration of training for all safety coordinators, leads, supervisors and managers.Develop and maintain the site Toolbox Talks.Maintain and distribute the daily/weekly safety report. Provide guidance and support on any OSHA compliance questions or issues.Assist the Sr. Safety Administrator with the administration of all safety systems. Assist with the ISO 45001 program. Maintain the Workers Compensation Program by entering claims, tracking claim status, communicating with employees and medical Providers and ensuring a strong light duty program is maintained. Maintain the OSHA log

Schedule Audiograms and Respirator Physicals/Fit Testing for the plant(s)Schedule and maintain documentation of Medical Surveillance Program. Maintain the positions required to be within all surveillance/medical programs.Assist with the continuous improvement of KPI's, audit tools, and trainings. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Other duties as assigned

Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs. MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety preferred or a minimum of three to five years previous experience preferred. Strong understanding of OSHA 1904 preferred. Previous OSHA auditing experience and training experience would be preferred. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong computer skills. Must be professional and able to maintain confidential information. PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:Mobility in plant

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Communication abilities HEALTH AND SAFETY:Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations

Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately

Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn:Safety shoes

Hard HatHigh-Visibility ClothingSome areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as:Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.Fire Retardant clothing

Acid PPEReport to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy

Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines

Must follow all Environmental Policies and RegulationsMaintain a clean and safe work area WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations

Clean, well ventilated and safe work areas. HUMAN RESOURCES:Abiding by the Acerinox Code of ConductKeeping oneself informed through your company email account
