Location: We are seeking a Safety and Sanitation Specialist for the Food and Beverage operations in Miami Gardens, FL.

Principal Function:

The Safety and Sanitation Specialist position is responsible for the proper washing and storage, cooking utensils, and other food service equipment items. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in concession stand and culinary areas.

The Safety and Sanitation Specialist's top priority will be to ensure a successful event that upholds Hard Rock Stadium, keep standards while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and food prep areas, including grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, floors, etc.
• Assists the Safety and Sanitation Supervisor with coordinating and conducting new hires/current employee training and ensuring quality assurance
• Conducts regulatory and hazard inspections of all F&B outlets, dining, kitchen areas
• Provides consultation and prepares reports relating to safety and sanitation issues
• Prepares administrative reports and maintains inspection activity reports on a daily basis
• Stock all supplies as directed by manager
• Understand the proper use of chemicals
• Demonstrate the ability to meet company standards

• Follow safe storage, service, and sanitation practices.
• Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Related field, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience preferred.
• Must have flexible availability including day shift and night shift hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in banquet, or special events management preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience and strong customer service skills required.
• Must possess effective communication, coaching, interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills.
• Computer Skills.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in weight (storage bins, shelves). Must be able to maneuver in an often tightly quartered environment.
• Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
