Job Opportunity: Findlay, Ohio
Our client is looking for a Safety Compliance Officer to join their team. Our client is a provider of asphalt, road-building, mineral, and distribution services and has grown to be a leader in the aggregates and industrial mineral business.
The Safety Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, conducting safety audits and inspections, investigating incidents, providing safety training, and advising management on risk mitigation strategies to maintain a safe working environment for employees.
Job Requirements:
- College degree preferred in Occupational Safety and Health.
- 5-10 years experience in safety compliance and thorough knowledge of OSHA and MSHA requirements and regulations.-Mining/aggregates experience required.
- MSHA experience required.-Experience managing safety compliance team members and Corporate Safety Policies.-Experience in dealing with Federal and State Safety Inspectors.-General knowledge of Workers Compensation and accident investigations.-Excellent communication skills.-Excellent computer skills - Excel, Outlook, Word, Vector, etc.-Resourceful and well organized with attention to detail.-Results and compliance oriented.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Conduct and supervise safety inspections.
- Analyze inspection and incident data.
- Develop and implement safety programs.
- Collaborate with management to promote safety.
- Identify potential hazards and assess risks.
- Develop site-specific safety plans.
