Job Description
HM Staffing Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team and champion a culture of safety across all operations. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risk, and promoting health and well-being on the job site.
Key Responsibilities• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance• Lead safety training sessions and orientations for new and existing employees• Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation• Collaborate with management and regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA) to uphold safety standards• Promote safety awareness and lead initiatives to improve workplace safety culture
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred)• Minimum 2 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in construction or industrial settings• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) are a plus
