Safety Coordinator

Pay Rate: $19.06/hr Interview: Onsite Interview Shift: Monday to Friday 8: 00 am to 5: 00 pm Role focus: Legitimate clerical/administrative support within EHS Key qualifications:

Strong Excel skills o       Prior safety or EHS-related experience (this is key) o       Proven reliability in administrative/clerical work JOB ROLE: EHS Assistant –Summary (Houston, TX | Onsite | Day Shift) We are seeking a reliable EHS Assistant to provide strong clerical and administrative support within Environmental Health & Safety at a manufacturing plant. This role plays a key part in maintaining a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Key Requirements: Strong Microsoft Excel skills (tracking, reporting, data management) Prior experience in EHS / safety / environmental support (mandatory) Proven administrative or clerical experience High attention to detail and strong communication skills Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment Core Responsibilities: Maintain EHS tracking spreadsheets, logs, and SharePoint systems Support safety audits, inspections, and compliance documentation Assist in incident reporting, hazard tracking, and safety programs Conduct safety orientations for employees, contractors, and visitors Track and manage permits, PPE inventory, and safety documentation (MSDS, etc.) Support environmental reporting (storm water, emissions, waste, etc.) Spend time on the floor identifying safety risks and ensuring compliance Work Environment: Industrial manufacturing setting (dust, noise, temperature variations) Requires both desk-based admin work and floor presence Education High School Diploma or GED required Ideal Candidate Profile: Someone with 1–3 years of EHS or safety coordination experience who is strong in Excel + documentation, dependable, and comfortable balancing admin tasks with on-floor safety support.
