As a Safety Coordinator at Atlas TubeZekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting and advancing the facility’s Occupational Health and Safety program. This position is responsible for driving a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, implementing safety initiatives, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

You will collaborate closely with plant leadership, front-line supervisors, and corporate safety teams to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve safety performance. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Blytheville, AR.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership and coaching on safety and health matters to plant leadership with an emphasis on front-line supervision.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining safety programs and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training programs to employees and site personnel.

  • Investigate accidents and near-misses, document findings, and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Prepare detailed incident reports for internal use and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.

  • Ensure safety equipment and personal protective equipment are available, properly maintained, and used correctly.

  • Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for all roles across the facility.

  • Provide regular safety performance updates using systems such as Intelex and other communication tools.

  • Support safety initiatives and programs across other Zekelman facilities as needed.

  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in safety, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.

  • Associate’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.

  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and engage diverse teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with safety management systems such as EHS Insight or similar platforms.

  • Assertive and decisive with demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to safety culture.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.

  • OSHA certification (10-hour or 30-hour) and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

  • Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, and carry objects while maintaining stamina and coordination.

  • Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

  • Ability to work in a plant or manufacturing environment.
