Safety Manager

Summary

We are looking for a Safety Manager to join a rapidly growing Engineering & Specialty Contracting company. This role is responsible for promoting a safe, compliant, and incident-free work environment across active jobsites. The position leads safety program implementation, training, audits, and incident prevention efforts while partnering closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to support a strong safety culture and long-term working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce jobsite safety programs and regulatory compliance

• Conduct new hire orientations and deliver ongoing safety training

• Perform jobsite audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and required reporting

• Manage workers’ compensation cases and related documentation

• Maintain safety policies, procedures, and training records

• Oversee subcontractor safety compliance and high-risk activity planning

• Lead toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and site safety communications

• Inspect, maintain, and track safety equipment and inventories

• Support drug and alcohol testing when required

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction safety or OSHA-related roles

• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices

• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, GSP/CSP/CHST) preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Ability to respond effectively to incidents and changing jobsite conditions

• Proficiency with standard office and reporting tools

• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in construction environments
