What you'll do

We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Safety Manager to take the lead in building and driving world-class safety programs across our fast-growing drone operations in the high-voltage transmission industry.

In this role, you'll:

  • Develop and lead our Safety Management System (SMS), tailored to the unique challenges of drone stringing technology in a high-voltage transmission line construction environment.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FAA, and utility safety standards while maintaining meticulous safety documentation and reporting.

  • Ensure all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), earthing, Bonding and grounding, minimum approach distances (MAD), step touch potential ,working at heights, and heavy equipment operation, are strictly adhered to.

  • Manage the selection, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including specialized gear for electrical and elevated work.

  • Deliver impactful training that empowers every team member to work safely and confidently in the field and the sky.

  • Champion a proactive safety culture through audits, mentoring, and open communication.

  • Investigate and learn from incidents to continually raise the bar for operational safety and reliability.

  • Stay close to the action, conducting on-site safety visits and ensuring the seamless integration of UAV technology with traditional construction methods.

What we are looking for

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in safety management, with a significant portion in the electrical utility, transmission, or heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven experience or strong knowledge of safety protocols related to UAV/Drone commercial operations is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or equivalent.

B. Specialized Knowledge

  • Expert-level knowledge of OSHA regulations for construction (1926) and general industry (1910), particularly in electrical standards (Subpart K, V).
  • Thorough understanding of FAA Part 107 regulations, waiver processes, and best practices for commercial drone operations near critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with utility safety practices, including MAD, LOTO, and transmission energized line work protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing, training, and communicating with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with incident management software and data analysis.

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing behavior without direct authority.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel frequently to project sites.
