Safety Manager- Commercial Construction

The Safety Manager will report to senior operations leadership and work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure safe and successful project delivery.
- Lead and enforce company safety programmes across multiple active commercial construction projects
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, company standards, and client-specific safety requirements
- Deliver safety orientation programmes, toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing workforce education
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, developing corrective and preventative action plans
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture
- Track, analyse, and report safety performance metrics while implementing continuous improvement initiatives

For the Safety Manager- Commercial Construction we are seeking:
- 5+ years of construction safety experience within commercial construction
- Experience supporting ground-up construction projects from mobilisation through completion
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience conducting safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with both field operations and office-based teams
- Experience developing, implementing, and delivering safety training programmes
- Familiarity with construction management software and safety reporting systems
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 certification required
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration 500, Construction Health and Safety Technician, Certified Safety Professional, or other advanced safety certifications preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence safety performance and drive accountability across multiple project teams
