Project Scope
This position provides full-time safety oversight for renovation and new construction projects at an existing, active automotive manufacturing facility.
The Safety Manager will represent the general contractor, overseeing all trades and maintaining continuous field presence in a live manufacturing environment. The role requires strong experience managing multiple contractors, enforcing safety standards, and preventing incidents during high-activity construction operations.
Qualifications
• OSHA 30• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500• NFPA 70E• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Additional Requirements
• Strong field presence and hands-on safety leadership• Experience overseeing multiple subcontractor crews• Ability to enforce OSHA, client, and GC safety standards• Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation• Ability to communicate clearly with site leadership and craft labor
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as on-site Safety Manager representing the general contractor• Oversee all trade safety activities across renovation and new build work• Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments• Enforce NFPA 70E and electrical safety requirements• Lead toolbox talks, orientations, and site safety meetings• Stop unsafe work and implement corrective actions as required• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
Skills
• Strong knowledge of construction and industrial safety• Experience working in active manufacturing environments• Ability to manage multi-trade, high-activity job sites• Confident field leadership and sound safety judgment

Expertise in OSHA regulatory compliance, construction safety management, automotive manufacturing environments, multi-trade oversight, NFPA 70E compliance, and active field safety leadership.
