Construction Safety Manager Location: West Memphis, AR Duration: 4+ Months (Start: 8/11) Type: 1099 ContractorCompensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $60/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local) Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week) Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Day Shift 6-7 Days a week (60-70 Hours)Why This Opportunity?Join a structural steel contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Manassas, VA. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety activities involving steel erection, bridging operations, crane-assisted material handling, ironworker activities, elevated work, and daily construction operations within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with structural steel experience who enjoys being highly visible in the field and actively supporting crews through coaching, hazard recognition, and proactive risk mitigation.Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification OSHA 500 or 510 Certification 5+ years of construction safety experience
Preferred Qualifications Data center construction experience Structural steel safety oversight experience Experience reviewing lift plans and critical lifts Experience supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be DoingOversee daily safety activities for structural steel construction operations
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Monitor steel erection, bridging, and ironworker activities
Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures
Monitor crane operations, rigging activities, and material handling processes
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lift plans, and pre-task plans
Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
Promote a positive safety culture across the project
