SAFETY MANAGERSteel Erection | Large-Scale Data Center Construction Location: Sterling, Virginia Start Date: July 29, 2026 Project Duration: Approximately 3 Months Employment Type: 1099 ContractorJOIN A HIGH-PROFILE DATA CENTER PROJECTWe are seeking an experienced Safety Manager with strong steel erection expertise to provide full-time, on-site safety leadership for a large-scale data center construction project in Sterling, Virginia.This is a fast-moving, field-focused assignment requiring a confident safety professional who understands the hazards associated with steel erection, elevated work, material handling, and simultaneous construction operations.The selected contractor will work directly with project leadership, field supervision, trade partners, and craft personnel to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and maintain compliance with OSHA, client, and site-specific safety requirements.COMPENSATION Contractor Rate: $50-$55 per hour Overtime: Paid at 1.3x the base rate for hours worked over 40 Pay Frequency: Weekly Per Diem: Not available

Local candidates and professionals able to work in Sterling without per diem are strongly encouraged to apply.PROJECT SCHEDULE Hours: Approximately 50-60 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday, with Saturdays as needed Shift: Day ShiftCandidates must be prepared to support extended hours as project activity and site demands increase.PROJECT SCOPEThe Safety Manager will serve as the primary safety resource for active steel erection operations on a large-scale data center construction site.This individual will maintain a consistent field presence, monitor ongoing work, identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, and work with site leadership to implement immediate corrective actions.Key areas of oversight may include:Steel erection and structural assembly activities

Fall protection and elevated work

Crane, rigging, and material-handling operations

Aerial lifts and mobile equipment

Controlled access zones and restricted work areas

Pre-task planning and job hazard analysis

Contractor and trade-partner compliance

Simultaneous operations in a fast-paced construction environmentKEY RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor daily field activities for compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements

Conduct routine jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments

Provide direct safety oversight for steel erection activities

Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures

Review pre-task plans, job hazard analyses, and high-risk work activities

Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and field training

Support incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions

Partner with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel

Track safety observations, corrective actions, incidents, and leading indicators

Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation and reports
