Job Description

Construction Safety Manager Location: Sidney, OH Duration: 1 Year (Start: 10/26) Type: 1099 ContractorCompensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $59/hr Per Diem: None Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 10 Hour Days Additional Schedule Details: Possible Saturday work as project demands require. Candidates should be prepared to support extended schedules during peak construction activities.Why This Opportunity?Join a concrete contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Sidney, OH. Project scope includes excavation, concrete footer installation, concrete formwork operations, reinforcing steel, and structural concrete construction.The Construction Safety Manager will provide hands-on field safety oversight for all concrete and excavation activities, working directly with craft personnel, foremen, superintendents, and project leadership to maintain compliance and ensure safe execution of work.Required Qualifications BCSP Certification Required (CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Equivalent) OSHA 30 Construction Certification Current CPR / First Aid Certification Minimum 3+ Years of Construction Safety Experience PreferredPreferred Qualifications Data Center Construction Experience Concrete Construction Safety Experience Excavation & Trenching Safety Experience Structural Concrete & Formwork Experience Heavy Civil Construction Experience Contractor Safety Management ExperienceWhat You'll Be DoingProvide daily field safety oversight for excavation and concrete construction operations

Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments

Monitor excavation activities, concrete footer installation, formwork operations, and reinforcing steel activities

Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements

Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions

Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel

Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors

Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation

Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports

Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
