Construction Safety Manager Location: Georgetown, KY Duration: 1 Year (Start: 10/12) Type: 1099 ContractorCompensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $59/hr Per Diem: $140/Day (7 Days Per Week) Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 40-60 Hours Per Week Additional Schedule Details: Hours may increase as project activity ramps up and construction milestones are reached.Why This Opportunity?Join a General Contractor supporting new construction and retrofit work at the active Toyota Manufacturing Facility in Georgetown, KY. Project scope includes civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and multi-trade construction activities within an operating manufacturing environment.The Construction Safety Manager will oversee safety performance for the General Contractor and all subcontractors on site while working directly with project leadership, Toyota representatives, supervision, and craft personnel to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.Required Qualifications Previous Toyota Project Experience Required OSHA 510 Certification Minimum General Contractor Safety Management Experience Required Experience Managing Multi-Trade Construction ProjectsPreferred Qualifications Automotive Manufacturing Construction Experience Active Manufacturing Facility Experience Large Capital Project Experience CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential Contractor Safety Management Experience Experience Supporting Owner-Driven Safety ProgramsWhat You'll Be DoingProvide daily safety leadership for the General Contractor and all subcontractors on site
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Monitor civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and general construction activities
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Toyota requirements, and project-specific safety standards
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel and subcontractors
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, contractors, and owner representatives
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
