Safety Manager

• Schedule:• Hours: Salaried exempt, expected 50 hours per week• Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday (field-based)• Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM typical; occasional 1:00 AM start for overnight pours• Occasional overnight concrete pours as required

Scope of Role:This is a field-based Safety Manager position supporting commercial and industrial concrete construction projects throughout the Reno market. The role covers multiple active jobsites, including large-scale slab and data center construction projects. The Safety Manager works side-by-side with another Safety Manager and maintains a highly visible onsite presence with minimal office time. Established SOPs are already in place; the focus is on field execution, communication, and enforcement.

• Qualifications:• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required with minimum 5 years of experience• Bilingual English/Spanish required (mandatory)• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience• Experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction preferred• Preferred: 4-year degree and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST strongly preferred)• Strong communicator, not a "safety cop" approach

Key Responsibilities:• Provide field safety oversight across multiple Reno-area concrete projects• Conduct daily site walks, audits, and routine safety inspections• Maintain visible presence with "eyes on crews" during active operations• Enforce established safety policies and issue write-ups when necessary• Support forming, finishing, tilt-up, cast-in-place, and high-performance slab operations• Ensure strong communication between superintendents and management to prevent safety gaps• Collaborate closely with fellow Safety Manager to maintain coverage and consistency

Knowledge Base:Solid understanding of OSHA construction standards, concrete construction safety practices, tilt-up operations, slab pours, and data center project environments.
