Overview
Job Description
- Provide ongoing instruction of OSHA required safety disciplines.
- Coordinate all annual and recurring safety training requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee training and safety records and reports.
- Review and update documents to identify work-related hazards, reflect changing regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct safety audits across multiple facilities throughout the division to identify and correct unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
- Ensure alignment of safety programs with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations to determine root causes of an event.
- Collaborate with departmental representatives to address safety concerns and track corrective actions.
- Write detailed summaries and recommendations regarding corrective actions necessary to prevent accidents.
- Participate in division projects addressing safety issues.
- Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with safety standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Safety training and certificates preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines, other regulatory guidelines, and common industrial safety practices.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
