Job Description

Martekhas been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of real estate talent. Our team is seeking a Safety Specialist - Occupancy & Building Safety to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) with the required education and experience outlined below.

Part-Time, 20 Hours per WeekSite Address: 1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024

Responsibilities & Duties

Conduct building safety assessments covering ergonomics, emergency exits, signage, air quality, and occupancy readiness.
Verify compliance with OSHA standards and DOE safety policies.
Develop and implement occupancy safety plans, including emergency evacuation procedures.
Support hazard identification and mitigation during move activities.
Coordinate safety training and onboarding for personnel entering the new facility.
Perform walkthroughs pre- and post-move to validate safe working conditions.

Job Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OHST preferred

Experience Requirements

Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Martek Global Services, Inc.
