Keep It Fresh

Our salad bar is one of the first things guests see when they visit Chuck-A-Rama, and our Salad Prep team makes sure it looks as fresh and inviting as it tastes. As a Salad Prep Team Member, you'll prepare our made-from-scratch salads, wash and prepare fresh produce, and help set up our signature salad bars for the day. From preparing ingredients and following recipes to arranging fresh vegetables, toppings, and salads, you'll help create a colorful, fresh selection our guests can enjoy with every meal.

If you like working with fresh food, staying organized, and seeing your work come together from prep table to buffet, this could be a great fit for you. Even better? Typical Salad Prep shifts are daytime hours, generally around 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

What You'll Do

A typical shift may include:

• Preparing our made-from-scratch salads according to Chuck-A-Rama recipes
• Washing, cutting, and preparing fresh fruits and vegetables
• Preparing toppings, ingredients, and other items for the salad bar
• Setting up and stocking the salad bar before service
• Making sure salads and produce are fresh, attractive, and ready for guests
• Portioning, labeling, storing, and rotating ingredients properly
• Receiving, putting away, and rotating produce deliveries
• Checking ingredients for freshness and quality
• Planning ahead to make sure enough food is prepared for the day
• Safely using and caring for kitchen and food-preparation equipment
• Keeping your workstation clean, organized, and sanitized
• Following food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
• Working with the kitchen and line teams to keep the salad bar fresh and stocked

What We're Looking For

Great Salad Prep Team Members know that fresh food starts with attention to detail. From following a recipe correctly to choosing fresh produce and creating a beautiful salad bar, the little things make a big difference. We're looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Enjoys working with fresh food
• Is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Can carefully follow recipes and preparation instructions
• Pays attention to freshness, quality, and presentation
• Can manage multiple prep tasks and stay on schedule
• Communicates well and works as part of a team
• Understands the importance of food safety and sanitation
• Can safely use common food-preparation equipment
• Is comfortable standing and staying active throughout a shift
• Can safely help receive, put away, and rotate produce deliveries
• Previous food-prep experience is helpful, but attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are just as important.
