Job DescriptionPregis Corporation, a leading global provider of innovative packaging solutions seeks an Account Manager for its Protective Films & Coatings Business. The geographical territory for this position is, in the US, the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and, in Canada, the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will be based in New Jersey or Philadelphia. The required travel is approximately 50% primarily by car with a few trips by plane to Canada annually.Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for driving new business through a combination of selling to End Users, Converters and our Distributor Network; effectively managing the established book of business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships; sales strategy development; and sales forecasting.The critical focus is on new business development within an established territory, maximizing sales volume growth consistent with overall business profit margin performance while emphasizing both water and solvent product lines as a competitive advantage.Pregis offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package and an opportunity to be part of a winning team!
Desired Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate embody both a 'hunter' and 'farmer' skillset; will possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business; highly effective negotiation and communication skills; ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing priorities; a capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials; and a passion to execute at each available opportunity. Manufacturing, technical or sales experience in the paper or plastics packaging industry is desired. Minimum of 3 - 5 years' sales experience required. Experience selling pressure sensitive adhesives, tapes, and/or films in the metals, automotive, construction, industrial and fabricating markets is ideal.The Ideal candidate will have the following:
A sold track record of exceeding growth targets and delivering double-digit growthExperience and demonstrated success managing and closing sales in a technical fieldHighly competitive and a strong desire to succeedLead Generation: Skilled at identifying new customers and gaining access to key decision makersCollaboration Skills: Leveraging and working across multiple functions withing the business (could include channel partners) to effectively achieve sales targetsNegotiation & Persuasion skills: Ability to negotiate large deals with C-Suite contacts and middle management contacts alikeProject Management Skills: Ability to manage a complex sales process while leveraging internal and external resources to drive sales executionResearch & Strategy: Ability to effectively identify an adequate number of prospects and develop robust strategies to close themBusiness Intelligence: A robust understanding of Key Market Verticals including distribution channels, industry trends, product needs, and competitive landscapeCustomer Analysis: An ability to determine if existing customers have growth potential or are in a maintenance mode, and the ability to continue re-assessing these customers over time.Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom Info, CRM Platforms, SAP C4C, and other internal information systems
