With four hotels located near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks the Sales & Experience Manager, you will play a critical role in driving sales, creating memorable guest experiences, ensuring successful events, and contributing to the overall growth and success of each property.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales & Experience Manager is an outgoing, eager, and results-driven professional who excels in direct selling, relationship-building, community engagement, event management, and guest service enhancement for four hotels in Moab, Utah. This role involves conducting outside sales calls, developing marketing strategies, maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with operations to ensure seamless guest experiences. Revenue management experience is beneficial and will complement strong sales skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on building new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts to maximize room revenue.
- Solicit new business through outside sales calls, area blitzes, prospecting, community outreach, and internet research.
- Fill event calendar need dates to maximize revenue and ensure effective utilization of event spaces.
- Serve as the primary contact for groups, managing communication, planning, and execution.
- Maintain paperwork for each booking, collaborating closely with the operations team to ensure successful events.
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials that enhance visibility and sales.
- Nurture relationships with existing clients through regular follow-ups, phone calls, and in-person visits.
- Achieve monthly revenue goals set by the management team, adjusting strategies to meet targets.
- Review Group Pick-Up reports to track booking pace, update clients, and adjust sales efforts as needed.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports within the respective deadlines, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Review monthly financials to identify need periods, adjust sales efforts, and ensure alignment with budgeted booking pace.
- Attend trade shows, chamber events, and meetings as designated by the Regional Director of Sales, representing the hotel and generating business opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations to enhance overall guest experiences, community partners, and ensuring a seamless integration of sales and service efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the hotel’s sales and experience goals.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating a positive attitude in interactions with clients and co-workers.
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 20 lbs
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Hotel operations experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Sales experience, preferably in hospitality, with at least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
