Sales Assistant

Responsibilities: Assists sales employees with processing and tracking of orders by performing the following duties. Please note this position is not limited to what is listed below.

• Assists sales in developing a high standard of professional customer service through timely quotation response, order entry, and discrepancy resolutions.
• Assists sales in obtaining and relating customer issues and inventory data to management.
• Communicates effectively with sales employees and customers.
• Process and track material processing orders with outside vendors
• Place stock buy orders at the branch level

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
• Industry and/or sales experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak the English language.
• Possess effective communication skills which include verbal and written
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to learn proprietary program known as Metalware
• Displays effective use of time management skills
• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills critical to the success of the role
• Start time varies from 7am-10am with a consistent 8 hour a day schedule - staggered rotation
• Possess strong math aptitude especially regarding percentage and fractions.
