Closet Factory is expanding our sales team as we prepare to open our new flagship showroom in Westport, Connecticut and continue growing throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties.

We are looking for proven sales professionals who know how to build relationships, understand a client’s needs and close business.

You do not need to be an interior designer.

If you have a strong background in consultative sales, in-home sales, high-ticket sales, luxury retail, home improvement, real estate, automotive, furniture or another relationship-driven sales environment, we can teach you the design side of the business.

For more than 40 years, Closet Factory has been a nationally recognized leader in custom home organization. We design and build fully customized closets, home offices, pantries, entertainment centers, mudrooms and other spaces throughout the home.

This is a sales role with a design component. You will meet clients in their homes, understand how they want their space to look and function, develop a custom solution, present the project and close the sale.

What You’ll Do

* Conduct pre-set in-home sales consultations with qualified prospective clients

* Build rapport and uncover each client’s needs, priorities, style and budget

* Measure and evaluate residential spaces

* Create customized storage and organization solutions

* Present designs, pricing and options confidently

* Guide clients through the buying decision

* Ask for the business and close sales

* Follow up consistently on open opportunities

* Manage your own pipeline and client relationships

* Achieve individual sales and revenue goals

* Deliver an exceptional client experience from consultation through project handoff

* Build repeat and referral business over time

Who We’re Looking For

This role is best suited for someone who is sales-driven, competitive, personable and highly self-motivated.

Strong candidates will have:

* 2+ years of successful sales experience

* A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

* Strong consultative selling and closing skills

* Confidence working directly with homeowners

* Excellent communication and relationship-building ability

* Strong organization and follow-through

* A high level of personal accountability

* Coachability and a desire to improve

* Comfort working independently in a performance-driven environment

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

* The ability to visualize, measure and plan a space

* Comfort learning technology and design software

* A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Experience in home improvement, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, furniture, flooring, windows and doors, remodeling, luxury retail, automotive sales, real estate or other high-ticket consumer sales is a plus.

Interior design or CAD experience is also a plus, but is not required.

Compensation: Commission-based with uncapped earning potential. Top-performing sales professionals have the opportunity to earn $100,000+ annually based on individual sales performance.
