Position Overview:
RolePurpose:
The Sales Auditoris responsible forensuring that all sales transactions are polled from the point of sale (POS) and recorded correctly in the sales audit systems. Theyare responsible forthe daily reconciliation of sales and cash receipts. They will also have responsibilities associated withmonth endclose including system interfaces, journalentriesand account reconciliations.
This is an entry level role & we are seeking, ideally, a candidate with an Accounting degree or background.
KeyResponsibilities:
Essential Duties and Functions:
Researchesand provides supportto credit card vendorsregardingchargebacks.
Responsible for ensuring that all sales transactions are polled from POS and recorded correctly in the sales audit systems. Help trouble shoot andidentifyPOS/software issues and procedural improvements
Researchesand provides support to merchantsregardingchargebacks.
Reconcile cash receipts to polled saleson a daily basis
Month End responsibilities including interfaces, journalentriesand account reconciliations
Monitor,routeand respond to incoming store calls,emailsand tickets
Facilitate the opening, closing and maintenance of store depository accounts
Complete ad hoc assignments as requested by management
Education/Skills and ExperienceRequirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance(experience would be considered in lieu of degree)
Experience:
3 plus years working experience, ideallyin an accountingand/orretail environment
Experience with bank reconciliations
PreviousSales Audit experience is a plus.
Skills:
Knowledge of PC Systems (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience withTrintech-ReconNET,ReSASales Audit,and Oracle financial systems preferred.
Ability tooperateindependently whileestablishingstrong working relationship with co-workers and cross-functional teams
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
