ARCXIS is seeking a Sales Consultant & Account Manager to grow and support relationships with many of Northern California's leading homebuilders. This is a consultative sales role where you'll partner with builders, developers, architects, and construction professionals to deliver engineering, energy, inspections, and quality assurance solutions that help projects move faster while reducing cost and risk.

Position Overview:

The Sales Consultant & Account Manager is responsible for driving growth by cultivating new business opportunities while strengthening long-term relationships with existing clients throughout a designated Northern California territory. This consultative role partners with homebuilders, developers, and industry professionals to deliver tailored engineering, inspections, energy compliance, and quality assurance solutions.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the residential construction industry, California energy codes, local building practices, and market trends to serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-motivated professional who executes strategic sales initiatives, identifies growth opportunities, and builds lasting partnerships.

As the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, this role manages the client experience from prospecting through project delivery, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Project Coordination to ensure exceptional service and successful outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow relationships with residential builders, developers, architects, and industry partners.
  • ·Generate new business through networking, referrals, prospecting, and strategic account development.
  • ·Manage an existing portfolio of builder accounts while identifying opportunities to expand services.
  • ·Deliver consultative presentations that demonstrate the value of ARCXIS' engineering, inspections, energy compliance, and quality assurance services.
  • ·Execute territory sales plans and growth strategies in collaboration with the Vice President of Sales and Regional President to achieve market objectives.
  • ·Monitor market trends, competitor activity, California energy codes, and industry developments to identify opportunities and strengthen sales strategies.
  • ·Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Project Coordination teams to ensure exceptional project execution and client satisfaction.
  • ·Represent ARCXIS at builder meetings, industry events, and trade associations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, accurately manage CRM activities, and consistently achieve business development and account growth objectives.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of consultative B2B sales, account management, or business development
  • Experience in residential construction, homebuilding, engineering, architecture, building products, HVAC, insulation, energy consulting, or related industries
  • Proven success developing long-term customer relationships
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable networking with executives, purchasing teams, construction managers, and operations leaders

Bonus Qualifications

  • Title 24 or HERS experience
  • LEED Green Associate (GA), LEED AP, CEA, HERS Rater, or other sustainability credentials
  • Experience working with production homebuilders

Base Salary: $60,000-70,000 plus uncapped commission. Successful Account Managers have the opportunity to significantly increase total earnings through new business development and account growth.
