Lewis Bakeries is hiring for a Sales Coordinator for the St. Louis, MO marketing area. The Sales Coordinator oversees all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) activities, ensuring that vendor-delivered products are received, stocked, and merchandised according to company standards. This role serves as the primary contact between store management, vendors, and merchandising teams to maintain in-stock conditions and ensure promotional execution.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all DSD vendor deliveries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with store procedures
- Verify invoices, credits, and delivery documentation
- Ensure vendors merchandise products according to planograms, promotional schedules, and safety guidelines
- Partner with store management and category teams to maintain optimal product presentation and inventory levels
- Communicate with vendors regarding order issues, delivery shortages, or product quality concerns
- Track and report on DSD performance metrics such as on-time delivery, stockouts, and sales trends
- Support store resets, seasonal transitions, and promotional setups
- Maintain organized backroom and sales floor conditions for DSD products
- Perform other duties as needed to support and improve overall department operations including:
- Responsible for route operational activity, including ordering and distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectations
- Communicate with customers to assist them in understanding the promotional activity and understand what our customer delivery expectations are
- Ensure that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction in agreement with any contract terms and requirements
- Assist customer relations to include selling new products and space/position gains
- Represent Lewis Bakeries as a leader in the baking business
