Job Description
Title: Sales Engineer – Textile & Plastic Products (Manufacturing)Location: Macon, GA (Travel Required)
Avant Tech is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to hire a Sales Engineer to support textile and plastic fastening solutions across multiple industries. This role blends engineering expertise with customer-facing technical consulting and sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and consultative sales support
- Collaborate with R&D on product development and design improvements
- Conduct customer site visits, product testing, and process compatibility trials
- Benchmark competitor products and document technical findings
- Support sales strategy and customer penetration initiatives
- Manage documentation, change records, and technical reporting
- Train internal teams on products, processes, and testing standards
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, product engineering, or manufacturing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred
- Spanish language skills preferred
- Project management experience is a plus
