Job Description
Position Summary
The Sales Executive develops and manages customer relationships within assigned territories to support Ergon's growth across the Energy and Specialty Solutions Business Unit. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client partnerships, and delivering customer-focused solutions that reflect Ergon's values of Respectful Relationships, Empowered Service, Purposeful Growth, and Selfless Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute territory sales strategies to achieve annual revenue and margin objectives.
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and customer referrals.
- Support existing accounts by maintaining regular communication, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technical service, operations, and marketing teams to align customer needs with Ergon's capabilities and product offerings.
- Maintain detailed records of customer activity, pipeline updates, and forecasts through CRM systems.
- Participate in market intelligence efforts by monitoring competitors, trends, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
- Represent Ergon professionally at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits, demonstrating technical competence and customer focus.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of B2B sales, industrial sales, or sales support, preferably within energy, specialty chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of building customer relationships and achieving sales goals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, travel as required, and work independently with accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Experience selling technically oriented products or services.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and pipeline management.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal technical or operations teams to deliver customized customer solutions.
