Sales Intern - Denver, CO

We are targeting seniors / rising seniors that have an interest in sales for the Summer.

We are seeking self-motivated Sales Interns that are excited to learn more about account management and sales techniques in a fast-paced, essential industry. The Sales Intern will report to the Sales Engagement Manager. To be successful as a Sales Intern you must have a solid work ethic and a knack for customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Actively participate in IEL's new hire training program, focusing on operations, and customer service skills.
• Work alongside an experienced Logistics Account Executive on the sales floor
• Perform various account management tasks such as load building, appointment scheduling, phone management, and email correspondence
• Negotiate rates with carriers
• Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods by making dispatch and check calls
• Apply what you've learned and begin making prospecting calls to potential customers

What You Bring:

• Problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
• A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Proficiency in keyboarding and ability to maintain the technical knowledge necessary to perform the job effectively, specifically Microsoft Office products
• Genuine interest in a sales career
• Active enrollment in a degree-granting academic program
