Job Description

Company OverviewCedar is creating the most significant innovation in home affordability since the 30-year mortgage. By reimagining the land lease as a consumer-first model, Cedar makes homeownership more accessible and sustainable for a wider range of buyers. We are actually solving home affordability at scale – this is one of the most pressing problems in our country today and we are fixing it. Our structure meaningfully reduces both the upfront cost of purchasing a home and monthly costs. We expand the path to ownership for people who have been locked out of traditional markets and help existing homeowners access their equity at cost well below existing solutions. Cedar is already making a substantial impact for homeowners and we have material backing from top investors. Join our fast-growing and high-preforming team as we fundamentally change how people buy homes and create a new institutional asset class.

About the RoleThis Sales Lead role will focus exclusively on Cedar’s real estate agent and brokerage relationships. This person will develop, activate, and support partnerships that bring Cedar’s homeownership model into local and national real estate networks.

You will recruit top-performing agents and teams, onboard them into Cedar’s program, and support live transactions across purchases, listings, and home-equity conversions. This role combines sales execution, partner enablement, and operational coordination, requiring a strong understanding of how agents, brokers, title, and lenders interact throughout the transaction process.

What You’ll Do

Partnership Development• Identify, engage, and onboard real estate agents, brokerages, and teams aligned with Cedar’s mission of expanding home affordability• Build and manage a pipeline of high-performing agents and broker partners across key markets• Present Cedar’s model to brokerage leadership, team leads, and agents through meetings, presentations, and training sessions• Drive adoption by ensuring new partners are equipped to market listings and represent buyers using Cedar

Partner Enablement and Support• Manage the full partner lifecycle from onboarding through active transaction support• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution for Cedar-enabled listings, purchases, and cash-out transactions• Deliver training and provide marketing materials that help agents communicate Cedar’s value to buyers and sellers• Track engagement and deal flow, ensuring agents remain active and compliant throughout the process

Operational Collaboration• Serve as the main liaison between agents, brokerages, and Cedar’s operations, marketing, and legal teams• Maintain strong awareness of real estate regulations, RESPA compliance, and state-level brokerage disclosure requirements• Understand how the lending and title landscape interacts with Cedar’s model to ensure accurate coordination across all parties• Gather field insights to inform Cedar’s partner materials, marketing collateral, and onboarding processes

What We Need

We’re looking for a knowledgeable, relationship-driven professional who understands the real estate brokerage world. Ideally, you have experience selling to real estate brokerages and an existing network of contacts.

Qualifications• 3+ years of experience in real estate, business development, or partnerships within the real estate space• Strong understanding of real estate brokerage operations, listing workflows, and transaction timelines• Working knowledge of mortgage, title, and escrow processes and how they connect to the broader real estate transaction• Awareness of regulatory frameworks including RESPA, agency disclosures, and fair marketing or advertising standards• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust at multiple levels• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-activity environment with measurable outreach and activation goals• Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern CRM tools• Self-starter with drive, resourcefulness, and passion for expanding home affordability

Why Choose Cedar?

  • Take real ownership early — the work is not theoretical

  • Grow through direct feedback, rigorous debate, and steep responsibility

  • Be pushed to develop judgment, not just skills

  • Build a track record that compounds — responsibility scales with performance

Cedar is built for people who want to operate at a very high level on work that matters. We run a true owner’s culture: high standards, direct feedback, fast iteration, and accountability to outcomes. You’ll have real responsibility early, you’ll be expected to think—not just execute—and you’ll be surrounded by teammates who push hard and care deeply about excellence.

This is not a company for people who need perfect clarity, gentle consensus, or predictable routines. The pace is fast, the problems are complex, and the bar is high. But the upside is rare: steep growth, meaningful autonomy, and the chance to do career-defining work with a team that treats the mission seriously and rewards success well.

If you want comfort, you won’t like it here. If you want to build, learn, and win—Cedar is the place.
