Lead a local sales team, grow business relationships, and make an impact in Flathead County.
The Daily Inter Lake / Hagadone Media Montana is looking for a Sales Manager who enjoys selling, coaching, and being active in the local business community. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can help multimedia account executives succeed while also building new business, growing key accounts, and working directly with customers.
If you are a motivated sales professional who knows how to develop relationships, coach others, and drive results, we'd like to hear from you. This position reports to the Regional Sales Director.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and support a team of multimedia account executives.
- Spend much of your time in the market—meeting with clients, prospecting, and working alongside account executives.
- Help the team reach monthly revenue and new-business goals.
- Coach account executives through field visits, pipeline reviews, and sales planning.
- Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and community involvement.
- Grow existing accounts by understanding client needs and recommending effective advertising and marketing solutions.
- Create client proposals, presentations, sales strategies, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Support consistent CRM use, accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and timely follow-up.
- Recruit, onboard, and help train new sales team members.
- Step into open territories or account lists as needed.
- Represent the company through local chambers, business organizations, and community involvement.
What We're Looking For
- Strong sales, business development, and account management experience.
- A coaching mindset with the ability to motivate a team and support accountability.
- Confidence prospecting, presenting, and building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort using CRM systems and learning new sales and marketing technology.
- A self-starting, results-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous sales experience required; B2B or outside sales experience preferred.
- Previous sales leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience with digital marketing, media, or advertising is helpful but not required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the local market.
