Sales Manager, Consumer Sales (Eastern Iowa)
OverviewA privately held, growth-stage company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee its consumer sales function. The position reports directly to ownership and offers a defined path into broader operational leadership as the organization expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day sales activities while maintaining a personal portfolio of customer transactions
- Recruit, onboard, and develop an incentive-based sales team
- Establish performance standards, conduct regular coaching, and manage individual productivity
- Partner with ownership on customer acquisition initiatives, including local marketing and community outreach
- Monitor key performance indicators such as conversion rate, average transaction value, and revenue growth
- Contribute to long-term planning as the business scales to additional locations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of consumer sales experience, including at least 2 years managing an incentive-compensated team
- Demonstrated personal sales achievement and measurable revenue impact
- Experience developing customer acquisition programs
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
