Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Manager to join the team in Connecticut. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, overseeing key customer accounts, and partnering with ownership to drive sales growth throughout New England. What You'll Do as the Sales Manager:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three sales representatives while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Manage strategic customer relationships and oversee key accounts across Massachusetts and Connecticut, also some of Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont
  • Work with ownership to establish sales goals, monitor performance, and execute growth strategies
  • Oversee the sales process from opportunity through project completion, ensuring exceptional customer service and project execution
  • Provide leadership through transparency, communication, and hands-on support for the sales team
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure customer expectations are met and business objectives are achieved
  • Travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory to support customers and sales staff

Must-Haves as the Sales Manager:

  • Proven experience leading and developing sales teams
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish goals and execute measurable business objectives
  • Ability to work collaboratively with ownership while maintaining transparency and accountability
  • Willingness to travel throughout New England as needed

Nice-to-Haves as the Sales Manager:

  • Construction, aggregates or asphalt industry experience
  • Business development or key account management experience
  • Advanced computer and CRM proficiency
  • Experience working with contractors, municipalities, or heavy civil construction customers
