Job Description
- This position is open only to candidates currently living in or near Central Illinois.
- Applicants outside the United States will not be considered.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This is an in-person, field sales role with regular travel to schools and districts across Central Illinois.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned school and district accounts: build trust, understand their needs, deliver value.
- Grow revenue and market share within existing accounts by upselling, cross-selling, introducing new products or services.
- Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts within the education sector (schools, districts, educational programs).
- Develop and execute strategic territory or account plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Present solutions, demos or proposals to school decision-makers (principals, superintendents, procurement, IT directors etc.).
- Maintain and update accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records.
- Monitor and analyze customer trends, budgets, procurement cycles and competitive landscape in the education market.
- Travel to school sites and customer locations, attend events as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer success, product) to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a territory/account-management setting.
- Experience working with schools or educational institutions is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage both existing accounts and new business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong self-motivated, hard-working, dedicated mindset - you own your results.
- Comfortable working independently in a field/territory role with travel.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales processes.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must reside in or near Central Illinois and be available for in person interactions with our customers.
