Job Description

SUMMARY

The Sales Representative II is primarily responsible for identifying new prospects, engaging customers, building and strengthening relationships, presenting solutions that meet customer needs, market analysis, driving sales, and closing deals. Additionally, as the Sales Representative II you will engage in sales activities outside of the office including but not limited to, face-to-face meetings to develop relationships with key decision makers within an organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate and manage a book of business with an annual revenue of at least $3M by the end of your 18th month of employment
  • Develop and execute business plans, negotiate contracts, and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develop an active and viable sales pipeline through utilizing various sales lead generation methods to include networking, cold calling, and referrals
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts that lead to increased revenue, repeat business, and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs
  • Identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities that provide value to a prospective and/or existing customer
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and provide data to support informed decision making by management
  • Work closely with internal support departments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Promptly escalate issues and concerns to production, design and other critical functions to improve quality, service and deliverables
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates
  • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4-6 years of business, sales, marketing, product/brand management, or manufacturing/production experience required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing/corrugated packaging sales preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Design and graphics experience preferred
  • Technical experience with carton erecting equipment preferred
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
  • Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently.
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness.
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel
  • Must be able to drive and visit customer locations
  • The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
